The Pogues make their long-awaited return to Australian stages with a special 40th-anniversary celebration of their classic album Rum, Sodomy & the Lash! After selling out their first show, The Pogues have opened a 2nd show at The Forum, Melbourne on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
The tour brings together original members James Fearnley, Jem Finer, and Spider Stacy, alongside a stellar lineup of guest vocalists Daragh Lynch, Iona Zajac, and John Francis Flynn. They’re joined by musicians Holly Mullineaux, Jordan O’Leary, Fiachra Meek, Jim Sclavunos, Pete Fraser, Daniel Hayes, and Ian Williamson, performing the album in full plus other fan favourites.
Released in 1985, Rum, Sodomy & the Lash remains a cornerstone of alternative music — fusing traditional Irish folk with punk and poetic storytelling. The album features some of The Pogues’ most celebrated songs, including A Pair of Brown Eyes, Dirty Old Town, and A Rainy Night in Soho.
Returning for their first Australian tour in 14 years, The Pogues promise an unforgettable night honouring one of the most influential albums in modern music.
